hi there

hello.

I'm looking at moving to Canada and trying to find out my options .

I'm a heo (heavy equipment operator) also have class 1 truck licence. I've saw jobs advertised with agencies but I'm a bit hesitant tbh, heard some charge you. would rather deal with companies directly if poss .

open to most locations in canada as long as I can afford to live there.

won't bother you with cost of living threads but basically just wondering if anybody has any advice or contacts?

I have a little knowledge of lmo. am I right in saying because of my Noc 7421 my OH wouldn't be entitled to a open work permit?

cheers

Usually heavy equipment operators are in NOC code 7521 skill level C and therefore normally dont qualify for a spousal open work permit however there are a couple of Provinces that have pilot programmes.

Hi there, i've had a look at that site but i will look at it in greater detail. What i meant was the FSWBC which is part of the british columbia construction association. I think they go through the pilots but i was just interested to see if anybody had heard of them or used them. Their website says they take your cv and match you up with employers. I'll email them or give them a ring.

I'll have another look at the pilot programmes as my OH would like to work if possible.

Thanks very much for your help :)

Posts containing links (even quoted ones) from new posters go in the mod queue... says something about it in the readme file I think?

Anyway, as you were.
