Hi! New to this!
Hi, we're thinking about escaping this country and are looking into Canada. Going to the Emigrate show in Edinburgh on the 25th feb.
Have to say we're not sure how to get in. Looking at Alberta, Maybe west of Calgary. I'm a train manager/Conductor for Virgin and have been doing that for 8 years. My hubby is a newly qualified Gas/heating engineer but has only been doing it for less than a year. Both are in the skilled worker classes. He was in the forces before that. Also he has 2 uncles in Canada who emigrated over 10 years ago but they're half-uncles! (his dad's mum's son's by her second marriage)! Also he's thinking about applying to the UK police, but has type 1 diabetes and a slight colour blindness, although has been told this won't affect his application (in the uk). So, we're very confused about which route to go down, info overload from the net, although you guys have been the most helpful since i discovered the forum last night! any advice would be much appreciated, Cheers Sam.:) opps!! just read the guidelines for meet & greet, sorry will do a new post on the right forum!! |

Welcome to our site :) Regarding the uncle business I have the same type of aunts and got no points for them, but do try and do a search for info on the immigration forum who knows someone will probably hae asked the same question before. Good Luck with everything Gaynor |
