Guess a lot will depend on where about's in Canada you want to move and whether coach driver is needed

Have you checked out the wiki?

Try greyhound, although you will need a visa to work for them.

You can only swap standard car licenses (in most provinces..not BC), so you would have to retake the test here anyway.

There is a trucking specific forum here, not directly related, but there might be some useful info there too...

I only know of three major coach companies in Canada

Brewsters - on the west coast - run out of Banff and down to Vancouver

Acadian Lines -based in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick - basically run all around the Maritimes.

and

Greyhound, which run across most of Canada

Hope this helps.

You may have some luck with the transit companies hiring bus drivers on the foreign worker program. Long distance bus driving jobs are not so easy to come by, some also require the driver to be a tour guide.

Motor Coach Industries in Winnipeg (although i'm not sure if this is a coach company or a company that builds coaches...)

Or tour buses for bands and their crews although I suspect most of those are based in the States.

I do not think school buses would be possible, at least not initially.

I am the daughter of a former UK coach driver and got talking to a Canadian Coach Driver back in May and, apparantly, you need a special licence to drive the yellow school buses.

He works for Acadian in Nova Scotia and has driven for them for years and even he cannot drive these.

Here in Calgary they are gagging for school bus drivers. They train you, but it's only part time.

You need a class 2 license to drive big coach/tour bus/ greyhound.

Other companies in the Calgary area are Brewsters and Red Arrow.

Good luck!
