HI Everyone

Hi Everyone,
We have just joined the forum and i must say it looks really great. let us introduce ourselves, Im Joanne and my husband is Mike we live in middlesbrough we have 4 kids 18,15,13 and 4. Mike is hoping to get work in Canada,we have been thinking about emigrating for years and i think now is the best time and make that big step. Mike is a process operator and has worked for 25 years experience in this industry. He has 3 HNC so hoping he has the qualifications and experience in helping him to do this.
Everyone seems really helpful so looking forward for plenty of information that we need.
So a big HELLO form all of us

Hello both and a warm welcome. Like Mike I am also in the Process field and believe that Alberta is where OPs in in great demand.

Again welcome and hopefully we can share any info as and when it comes. Best of luck.

We have been looking at Alberta but really anywhere where there is need for Process Operators, we have looked at Canada for a number of years and really like what we see. My Great Uncle was a Priest over in Alberta Father Constantine Scollen he did the treaty seven and i know there is a School named after him and Hotel rooms as well as information in the Glenbow Museum.

Hi, my names Geoff....

I have just moved to Calgary..from Norton, Stockton on Tees.

The wife and kids are coming out in August...I have just bought a house here...this week. In Hamptons area of Calgary.

You'll love it here...loads of work...great lifestyle and the Canadians are a real friendly and warm people.

As for standards of living...60% better than the UK. I hope that you can get out here.. it'll be the best move you ever made.........Makes Teesside look like a dump...So good luck...I hope everything turns out well and you can make it.
