You will need to apply to the National Accrediation Association to have your qualifications assessed. You will then have to take the exams they require you to take to "Canadianise" your LL.B. you will then need to find a firm to provide you with Articles and, depending upon which Province or Territory you wish to practise in, take their "Bar" exams.

Here is a link to their website that will provide you with the info you need.

http://www.flsc.ca/en/foreignLawyers/guidelines.asp

Expect to have to take at least 8 exams

Feel free to PM me if I can assist.

Hi lawyer8, and welcome to the forum. You'll soon get used to the time difference between the UK and Canada, which ....... can ....... make ....... discussions ....... feel ....... slow. That, and the slack level of service that results from the fact that everyone around here works pro bono. Otherwise, the forum probably will do quite a good job of meeting your needs. Good luck with your quest.
