I am Iraqi guy, 34 yo, single, Engineer working in Dubai.
I am willing to visit Canada during my annual leave and would like to meet friends from Canada.

Welcome to the forum.

Do you just want to visit Canada as a tourist, or are you thinking of possibly immigrating to Canada?

If you're thinking of immigrating, there may be some value in your getting in touch with Canadian expats in Dubai, if you haven't already done so. They'd be able to tell you what life in Canada is like. They also may be able to give you the names of contacts back in Canada.

If you're working as an engineer in Dubai, I'm guessing you're in the oil or construction industries. Either way, a Canadian province that has a lot of employment opportunities for people with those kinds of skills is Alberta.

Websites that would be useful to you include:

• Citizenship and Immigration Canada (even if you just want to find out how to enter Canada as a tourist)
  
  
• BE Wiki article on Careers in Canada (that's if you want to work here)
