hi i am trying to fill in the police check forms but want to make sure i am filling in the right ones. Does anyone know the number of the form. on the canadian govt website it says form 3019A which asks for any contact you've had with the police. i haven't had any so does anyone know what you're supposed to do???

Re: HELP police check forms

We are in the process of getting our police checks. We were told to get an A96 form from our local police station. Once completed you can take your identification (eg passport/driving licence) into the police station where they will check them and stamp and sign your form (this saves you having to send your identification with the form). You can either send your application or the police station can pass it on to the National Police Systems at New Scotland Yard. Once received they sent us a letter saying that we should have our checks within 40 days. Its been 2 weeks so still waiting.

Hope this helps.

The form you need is a 1091a and can be downloaded here;
http://www.suffolk.police.uk/cgi-bin...d=immigration+

(Or you can go to the website of your local police force if you prefer)

I believe, and I have been known to be mistaken, that each police force has their own form. The one you can download off the CIC site we were told was completely the wrong form. (Sussex Police). I think the best advice is to toddle along to your local and explain what you want, and they'll give you the "right" form.

You still in Blighty D? ... You're not missing much weather-wise today, it's raining cats and dogs ..... first "proper" rain I seen since last summer!

We had a couple of great lightning shows the last 2 nights too. We're moved into the new place now, but have no drapes and a huge picture window right by our bed!

Well, you might be lucky doing that but smaller police stations don't have all the forms for all eventualities. Best to download it if you can or phone the Force Headquarters of your local area and get them to send you one.

You cannot begin to imagine how much we wished we are where you are - Never mind - at least the house has sold - will soon pop over to see if we can buy something, if so, at least we won't have to worry about having to rent with dogs when we land - we can simply "stay at ours" :p :p

The waiting continues ................. :D

Hopefully not :D

I think we're not too far from med requests now (been saying that since September last year :eek: ) but our main concern now is that we will hit the "run out of visas for this year" stage and not get PPR until next year (meaning we will land a year after you guys did !!) hence the reason to buy something asap :D

Chin is still up - life here is still good - just not as good as it will be over there :D :D
