Not sure if things have changed, but don't you need to prove you have a certain amount of money to be able to support yourself?
Where exactly are you landing?

Day 1 on a retractable! However if flying an amphib, make sure the wheels are up when landing on water. I did forget once, day 2 on retractable - Fortunately a mistake one only makes once and it was noticed before we scratched the paint and bent the prop.

On your way to the airport, can you stop off at Highfield Road and pick us up some of me mam's potato hash

Be prepared for the wait and stay patient - its hard when you're already knackered after the flight. Have some water and sweets/mints handy - I don't remember there being anything available once waiting.

Congrats and best wishes on your Canadian adventure.

Just for a week in the summer and a weekend for the lights in my first 15 years. The folks moved out there when they retired about 15 years ago.

Pee before you get off the plane, it's a long way to the next opportunity. If there are any number of you or a lot of luggage, get in the line for a limo rather than a cab, in context the cost difference is negligible and the difference in hassle huge. Actually, do that if there's only one of you with just carry on.
