Is what expensive in Canada?

If your OH is an electrician, he would need to be qualified in Canada, to do this he could challenge the provincial exam through Red Seal if he can prove 9000 hours work experience, otherwise he would have to fully re qualify. He could be a helper supervised by an electrician though.

Canada is a giant country, and the cost of living depends MASSIVELY on which area you decide to go. Most major cities can be pricey, smaller cities less so, but then it also depends on what your definition of "expensive" can be.

I would suggest doing some research on different areas of Canada, decide which area would be good for you, and look at real estate in that area to give you a better idea. No one here will be able to give you a generic answer as to whether living in Canada is expensive
