Help to friend in need...
Hello, I would really appreciate if someone could help me with my situation.
I've been living in Halifax NS for almost two years, and have a four month old baby, so I've been on EI for 5 months but have a valid work permit. I worked for a hotel and my work permit will expire on sep. 10. My job will not allow me to apply for skilled worker or for the canadian experience, work in housekeeping. I don't know what to do! What way do I have to go? Thanks |
Re: Help to friend in need...
Depends what you were doing in the hotel, you may be eligable under the PNP to apply if NS has one?

Well depending on which country you are from, and your age, you could apply for a general working holiday visa, from the UK this does not require you to ba a student and you must be 30 or under when you apply.

The only other option is to apply for more low skilled jobs ie timmies etc, to try and obtain a 2 year twp to give you more time. Do you have a support network regarding childcae to sallow you to get back into the work-place? |
Re: Help to friend in need...
I would have thought it would be worth your while to apply under the Community Identified route. They look for people to have ties to a particular community, and if you have been living there for 2 years you probably can't get better ties than that!
