help!! confuse, apply or waite
I really need Help please!!!!!
I have lived in Canada as a student since 1997. Before I came to Canada I had a one-year training in computer programming. Additionally, I had a Co-op job as an intern in a reputable economics-consulting firm for 2 years that hires post secondary graduates with concentrations in economics and business and who have ambitions of pursuing a degree program in the field of business and economics. At that time I was preparing to enter the university. When I came to Canada in 1997, I decided to pursue a degree in economics due to my practical experience in that field. At the university, I also worked as a computer programmer at the university computer center on part time basis for two years. Now, I have a four years economics degree from the University of Western Ontario and I am currently pursuing an MBA Co-op degree from Mcmaster University with both study permit and a 2 years work permit. My question is I am thinking of applying for the permanent residence (PR) as a skilled immigrant. 1) what are my chances of getting the PR given the fact that I had my economics work experience prior to obtaining the economics degree and my computer work experience was part time although for two years. 2) Secondly, as already pointed out, I have been given a 2 years work permit due to the MBA Co-op program that I am currently pursuing. I am currently, working with Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) as part of my Co-op education. I am not sure as to whether the work permit and the fact that I am working with a Canadian firm will enhance my chances of getting the PR or I should wait until I complete my MBA program…I need advice from the expects and everyone PLEASE!!!, my work permit will expire |
