Help Again with Air Canada????

You may recall my thread a few days ago re changing our flights from September to June. We have decided this morning to go ahead with it and after Air Canada in India made me hold the line for 23 MIUTES!!! they have quoted me nearly £600 to change flights. However when I look them up on the net they are actually the exact same price as our original booking. Trying to explain this to the guy was impossible and he is now off to speak to another department to see what the best price is they will give me. what should I do, should I try another number or will they not be able to help as he is already working on the booking?
He says he will phone me back in one hour.

I'm afraid I don't rate Air Canada at all, if you travel between May and Sept then you're best bet is to use a charter.
I haven't had to deal with their customer services dept, it's their airline stewardesses I find extremely rude. I first flew with them 11 years ago and again this march and nothing has changed.

Good luck.

To anyone else reading this thread - all is now sorted and order restored in the Annett household! Like heck. We are now going in three weeks instead of 16!!!!!!!

After one and a half hours (yes that is correct) of speaking to india, we got our flights changed and haggled with the manager until we agreed on 300Euro total.

Ridiculous I know but was the best we could do it started of at 450 Euro. I never thought before you could haggle with an airline - but it just goes to show you:D

When you've been here a while, you'll be an expert at haggling and arguing with almost every organisation there is.
