Help
Im realy looking for a few answers on what to expect. i am a sheet metal worker from edinburgh on a salary of £20000. I am going over to vancouver area to work for a salary of $64000 can i expect a reasonable standard of life with this. Also job is in burnaby wheres best to look at for comuting. Leaving on saturday for a weeks holiday to search some decent areas so any help would be great

how many people in your family? Burnaby is quite nice from what I hear- never been there myself,:)

well id be selling my house here and bring over £90000 wife would work eventualy .

From reading other posts I understand that if you take what you're earning in dollars, divide by two to get a salary in pounds- in your case 32000 pounds. If you can make it on 32000 pounds you will make it on $64000. The fact that you're selling your house aand taking $180000 gives you an even greater advantage. If wife works would be even even better. I hear to be comfortable you need at least $90000 per annum- this is all speculation though. Good luck! |
