Hello from Lethbridge Alberta
 

Hi guys

Yes I finally made it :thumbsup:

The goodbyes last week really left me emotionally drained and by the time Nathan and I checked into the hotel on Friday afternoon I had had about enough ! Only person I had to say bye to then was my parents.

We did this on Saturday night and it was as though my heart had been ripped out of me - they left the hotel at about 10.30 pm and I must have cried till about 4am and by then I couldnt go to bed as I had to be at 6am to go to the airport.

Arrived at check in and met up with Lisa W and the boys whom we sat with until we boarded.

We had a good flight and then disembarked and was making our ways to immigration when I was walking down the corridor and all of a sudden I see all of these peeps whooping and a cheering - I'm like who the hell is that :confused: when I got up closer it was the gibbos :eek:

How many peeps can say they were welcomed to Canada by another BE'er :thumbsup:

Immigration just a formality to check that the SOWP was ok and customs just werent interested in the goods to follow - Lisa W is due to collect her container so no doubt she will let everyone know what happened as they didnt even stamp our B4's - maybe it has something to do with the fact it was Sunday :eek:

Having now been here for 3 days - am now feeling more together and chilled - the kids are back arguing like they have never been apart, Nate is busy with his soccer team already and some sort of normality has rested over our home.

Just sat and read this back over and the one thing I didnt say to you guys is

because without your continued support and advice I really dont know how I would have gotten through the past 6 months being apart from the peeps I love.

Don't worry you wont get rid of me this easily - will still continue posting now that I have made it over here.

Finally, Congratulations and welcome to Canada.

The last few days before you head off are extremely draining emotionally. However when you get on that plane it kinda lifts.

Welcome to Canada, great to see yo made it at last, remember last month i told you that you would be laughing a bout all the strife by now, now its all over. Well now you can relax and get on with life. Hope youre enjoying the weather.

Oh Gaynor - I don't even know you (except from your posts) and I was on tenterhooks waiting for you to trumpet your arrival (though I knew from the Gibbo's that they'd seen you at YYC). I gather you managed to bury the hatchet with your mother? Are you numb now? Or euphoric? One of these days our sons may be playing footy together (I have a 12 year old Theo Walcott wannabe). Anyhow I hope you have the stamina to meet up for drinkies with yet another BEC'er in the not-too-distant future... I don't think we'll be out for good this year but OH and I are due in Calgary around Thanksgiving so there might be a chance of a meet-up. :D

Welcome back to Lethbridge - Isn't the feeling great when you get thru custom's and it hits you......I now live in Canada.....

Hope you settle in quick and when 'Guitar Fish' arrives...we will have to meet up.
