Hello from john
Hi there everybody.
I'm already a Canadian so I guess I have a slight advantage over most of you but the thing is I have been living in the UK for the past 31 years since I was 7 so I feel like a foriegner in Canada. But I am moving back in late 2008/early 2009. I have already bought some land 2.5 acres in Bobcaygeon, Ontario and will be building my own home. BTW I'm a Bricklayer by trade so if any of you are planning on building when you move out there then get in touch. (no joke). I have a large family out there and that is my primary reason for going but other than that I just feel that it is time to go home. I want to point out that the UK is a great place as well as Canada but I want to emphasise that Canada is no paradise neither. Make no doubt about it you have to work hard to get on in life but if your smart and get along with people then yes you can have a good life. |

I too am a Canadian who's lived most of thier life in the UK. Left Montreal aged 5, arrived via Saudi in the UK aged 10 and so now looking to 'go home'... Not sure it'll work, but I need to give it a go, and prepare to put in the work. I don't want to end my days here if I'm honest. Hoping to move prior to summer 2008 to either Vancouver or Calgary - two cities I need to learn about. Montreal isn't an option at the mo - and I'm very excited. Keep in touch, as I don't think there are many on here that are Canadians already - at least I don't know if any - so good to keep in touch!!!! Bandit! |
