Re: Hello hello!!
We had a look at some practices where it operated like that. So much more time to be able to care for people properly. Just can't work out if we get through the exams if we would be eligible for a visa - cos if not there is no point doing them. Thanks for your advice lovely people!

Hello! For what it's worth, why don't you both try to do your Canadian dentist exams or whatever you need to practice there just so that you have the option of working as dentists in Canada. I know doing more exams is a complete pain in the backside ( not to mention expensive) but you are both still young and don't mention any dependents yet so it might be your best time to do them. You may find dentistry in Canada is more enjoyable and it would then be worth it. If not, then you can do something else knowing that you've given it a try and it wasn't for you.

If there is one thing Canada, at least around here, is not short of it's dentists. Doctors is another matter.

Re: Hello hello!!
If one of us had a job offer could we in theory both come across with a job sponsored visa then? Forgive me if this is all obvious and I'm being a thicko but I'm new to it all! I suppose it depends whether a canadian dentist would like to employ a brit too, id resent paying all their massive tuition fees when our degrees were cheap as chips!

LOL, The last check up my daughter and I had - hers was a Orthodontic one, he had done some prior work and I wanted more information about Hygienist did her bit with DD, called the dentist over, I asked what would be needed, I'm pretty sure nothing would be needed if he had taken her eye tooth out in time but he left it He said top and bottom, I asked how long he said 18 months (previously he said 6) and it will cost another 3-5k. That took him, oh a minute and a half. I am looking for a new dentist.

Re: Hello hello!!
But seriously, could a small business practice provisionally offer a job and then come in on a visa that way? I wonder if there are big dental corporates in Canada like in the uk, Someone like that would probably be the best type of sponsor I imagine.
Although British corporates are the actual devil.

Dentists here seem to vary so much in price. My ex dentist wanted to charge $550 for a root canal (before my 80% refund from Manulife) whereas a friends dentist told me it would be $375 with them...that's a huge difference... I suppose it must have been because my dentist had every single gizmo ever invented for the dentistry world!!!!
