hello everyone
 

i just signed up to this site today and so far so good.i'm looking to move to vancouver with my family.my trade is a carpenter and i'm 41(and feel it).how straight forward is it to move to canada,what is the work situation like in bc.
any help much appreciated.thanks.

Start by checking out the Wiki at the top of the page on the bar also do a search for posts on the search section on the bar, it will take you ages but its worth reading up on it all, others will be along to help you i expect although lots are on holiday still,

hey and welcome. my boyfriend and I just moved just outside Vancouver we got over here relatively easily through a temporary work permit as my boyfriend is a general builder but has come over as a brick layer. he has gotten speaking to some people in the same kind of trade and it seems that there is a lot of work at the moment in those kind of areas but after the winter olympics in 2010 in Vancouver, the work is likely to die down alot. Hope this helps. It is a lovely place to live.
