Default Health & Safety Jobs

Does anyone know if there is a demand for Health & Safety/Environmental professionals in Alberta?

Short answer is yes, A quick search on any alberta job site will throw up quite a few, even more if you search companies websites

Bigger question is what field and what qualifications do you hold

There are a lot of H&S jobs in Alberta and BC for the mines and rigs but most of the people working in the role have experience in another field in the mines. ie worked as a driver for a few years then switched to H&S, I know one girl who managed to get strait in as her husband worked for the mines but she quit after 6 months as she got so much crap from the drivers. Rednecks don't like being told what to do even if it's for there own safety.

UK HSQE and Canadian (Alberta) HSQE are two very different things.
