Health

Hi,
Has anyone got any info on the healthcare? My mom isn't emigrating with us but may come out later on, the thing is she is diabetic and insulin dependent, someone has told her that she would not be able to stay because of her health? Other than this she is a healthy 68 year old.

She would have to pass the medical I believe to be considered under the family sponsorship thing, so the chances of success are not good.

Did you read the wikis on healthcare in canada... what the province does/ does not cover?

Once aver 65 drugs are covered to some extent, but I dont think the chances of success in this case are good, and it takes a loooooong time for the wheels to turn on parental sponsorship Im afraid at the best of times.
