Heading for Toronto!?

Hi there,

I have been a member of this site for a few months now but have never plucked up the courage to post a meet and greet so here goes...

I am currently living in West London with my husband and two children. My husband is a chef and I work within the media customer service industry. We have applied to emigrate to Toronto using a skilled worker application and we currently have just over one year of processing (or not) under our belts.

I am desparately trying to keep myself busy while waiting for our application to be reviewed  . I thought that we would have had some movement in our application status this year but now realise that the 36 month delay that was advised on our AOR was sadly a true timeline :scared: .

I am pleased to have found this site and regularly visit so that I can share highs and lows with other members :) .

I thank you :D .

Welcome ! Yep, waiting is an art many of us have perfected !

Is there any other way you can speed up your application or move with work / work permits, etc ? - though I'm sure this is something you have looked into.

All the best - and the time will pass before you know it ... honest !!

Thank-you for your greeting ann m :) .

I hate to admit it but 36 months kind of works for me :o . Our 5 year fixed rate mortgage will be coming to an end. My kids will about 2 years older than they are now. They are currently 4 and 2 years old and I would dread to think what it would be like to try to arrange moving while they are this age!!! I am also exploring the possibility of finding a post at my company's Toronto office. I have converted my CV into a resume and emailed it to the big cheese there - fingers crossed.

So you see another 2 years wait would not be such a bad thing but I would not say no to an early medical request ;).
