IF you have PNP is that not just a free ride to anywhere in Canada?

Work permits are tied to an employer but a PNP is a fast train to landing??

Come over land look for a new job and leave with the minimum amount of notice.

Once again thanks for the advice.
We had this but it was agreed with us before hand as we knew that PNP would not accept the job offer unless the pay is over a certain amount. We knew we would not be paid what was on the contract.

Quick up date

We have now been able to talk to the employer. Who is obviously a complete rogue. He would not commit to any wage not even the $20.00 and said he would have to see when we arrived how much he felt we were worth.

Its a grey area. You have to make a real attempt to settle in the nominating province, but no one seems to be able to explain how / if they police this.

After 3 years you are eligible for citizenship anyway, and then all bets are really off.

Would you consider the Greater Vancouver Region and Vancouver Island?
The crime ridden areas in North Surrey are being cleaned up and building
boom is happening .Housing is affordable and people are buying up
new condos and townhouses because they feel safe to live there.

Hope that helps,

Rich.
Rich, old fruit, that's unionised, not unionist. Clearly if such a person met you, s/he should move right along. To the eighteenth century.

Dear all,
Thanks for all the input and support.
We have now been offered a better job, better money and working conditions by somebody who we are fairly sure is genuine.
But it is a major decision to move your home, family and friends and people like this employer should be reported .
I am determined that this will not happen to anyone else and will be writing several letters and making more than a few phone calls to the relevant authorities.
We have been lucky and found out in enough time to find other employment others may not be so lucky. Imagine if we had moved only to find out then what he was really like.

Once again thanks folks

Hi woodywoodside,
Congratulations and well done.It is wise of you to report this kind
of unethical practises to the authorities, these people give BC and Canada
a bad name.Knowledge of your rights and guts to act are empowering.

Sounds like you will do well in Canada.

I am so happy that you have another better job offer, your situation has been on my mind for the last few days. Good on you for taking some steps to make sure that some other family doesn't end up with the same shock that you have had.

Now I can be excited for you and look forward to hearing of your progress towards leaving the UK. hope it all goes quickly for you. Thanks for keeping us updated on this.
