My 7 year old son came home yesterday telling me that it was St Patrick's day soon. When I reminded him that it was St David's day tomorrow, he looked blank and replied that he hadn't got a David in his class!! :D
I went on to tell him who St David was, and that he could take his Welsh Dragon flag to school. Oh, he said, I didn't know the dragon was called David!!!! :scared: honestly there's no hope!!! If you ask him he knows when Canada day is and can sing the Anthem!! when I asked my children to sign the British Anthem they both burst into "New York, New Yorks" as sung in Madagascar :D My hubby and I nearly wet ourselves laughing!!!!

My son got a "Happy St David's Day" card from his grandparents in Wales... a shop-bought one I mean, not home-made. What's that all about?? (the card I mean, not St David's Day...!)

My town in the Uk is only selling St Patricks Day cards the shops are covered in pictures of shamrocks. This is nice as I am Irish, but Wales is only over the bridge and even St Georges Day they dont celebrate.
I find this really strange that everybody only seems to celebrate St Patrick over here :D Maybe the Irish are taking over :D We do seem to get around :D

Well there were lots of children dressed up in rugby tops, girls in traditional Welsh costumes and many draped in Welsh flags today when I went to the school but then again I do live in Cardiff.

I did wish the only other welsh person at my work Happy St Davids Day. I was going to bake some Bara Brith but as I'm going to Wales this weekend (and I'm feeling lazy) I thought I would buy some instead (yummy).
