Maxwell's Plum also has (or had) large barrels of peanuts in their shells, which patrons can scoop up in baskets (for free, I should add). The floor is usually covered in broken peanut shells, but adds to the informal atmosphere. I think it's also the only place in Halifax with cider on tap.
