Dear Group,
We are new to the forum.
I am a family physician (FP) in the UK. I have been practicing as a FP since August'09.
My wife, hopefully, will finish FP training in August this year.
We both have passed MCCEE and have Canadian permanent residency.
I have CCFP through equivalent training (MRCGP) recognition.
All our certificates have been verified through PCRC.
Unfortunately I don't have 2 months training experience in Obs/gynaecology and my wife has not got 2 months experience in general surgery. But, we have rest of the training required to get licensure in BC.
Currently the training system in UK is such that we won't be able to get above training.
We are keen to live and work in BC preferably in a place close to Seattle, WA for family reasons.
Will it be possible?
Helpful advice/guidance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Amaresh

Hi, and welcome to BE.
I've moved your post in to a new thread, as the one you'd responded to was a year old.
Good luck.

My wife is a GP in UK with MRCGP. She did all the rotations needed for BC except OB GYN and Surgery. She has OBGYN and Surgery from her rotations in Africa. Would Observership in USA substitute for the OBGYN and Surgery rotations?
Any advice would highly be appreciated on how you got all the rotations.

The USA thing might work- sorry don't know- we were in the UK. I would ask the CPSBC - my only thought would be that just observing is not the same as actually "doing"- ie not really experience, so they may not accept.
