Default Government to "modernize" immigration system

Finance Minister Jim Flaherty announced in his budget today $22 million to "modernize" the immigration system.

We'll see first if the budget survives and if so how this will affect the interminable delays in the current system.

I feel a cool breeze. Could Hell be freezing over?

Seriously, it would be nice for those who were waiting if there was some substance to this. One can only hope.

I somehow don't think so Judy just a short term cold snap.

I'll bet most of the $22 million disappears down some hole called new software, instead of more staff to process the applications.

The old: Government pledges <insert random dollar values> to fix <insert ongoing eternal systemic problem>. Repeat each budget/election etc. and always blame the last guy for the current situation and to explain why nothing ever changes.

Get a contract with the federal government.

However your biggest problem might be the trustworthy issue. I think a certain degree of sleaze might be required.
