Got OHIP !!!!!!
Hey after much wrangling ministry upheld appeal and gave us OHIP. it was two fold- we were eligible because on a work permit( even though mine open) and other eligibility was the fact we have applied for PR with a letter from cic saying we meet eligibility. Seemples. ! Thank god because my son was rushed to hospital on sat with suspected appendicitis ambulance the lot it was terrifying . so glad we appealed as if it was up to the local OHIP office we would not be granted it, they were super unhelpful

Ours was $60. Probably still cheaper than a taxi in this town

Congratulations! I am very pleasantly surprised as everything official I had read pointed to you being refused. I'm very happy you got it!
