read the wiki - very useful

my situation - i'm landing in a few weeks for a few days only then
back for best part of a year so i've packed nothing

wiki emphasises to really say more than less so your covered which is good

one thing - i can't say how many boxes of anything i have

more like - 100 books = $1000 type of thing

any comments / advice on this sort of thing ?


q) does anyone count your books for instance or is that silly ? - ok i can guess

q2) boxes - as i dont know i'm thinking 10 boxes for everything . . .

think some real examples of lists would be handy or even a wiki suggestion

hey
when i landed, i simply wrote books to value of x. you dont need to say how many boxes it will take to ship them over...
clothes to value of x etc
as you have said, over estimate just in case

is the value the thing they are more concerned about incase of some tax due ?

i'm guessing it is really and maybe everyone puts too much detail into
all this
