Default Good rental agencies for Calagry

Hi

we are finally going next April. Does anyone know any good rental agencies or contact for rentals in the Calgary area. We want to rent initially before buying. Also any good companies to buy cars from?

cheers Craig

Hi Craig,
We too are heading for Calgary in April!!!

We are renting aswell, the best site to look on is homerent.ca (google it), thats the site we used when we were there before and we will be using again.
You might want to try the calgary herald (local newspaper) you'll find everything in it.
There are alot of car companies on Mccloed trail, check them out...

Good luck hope this helps.

Lee.

Hi Craig and Lee,

www.rentfaster.ca is also a good rental site for Calgary and surrounds. If you need help with short term accommodation (less costly than a hotel and generally more pleasant) then we know a few places that can help for your first couple of weeks or so while you go and research rental places in person (there's no substitute for seeing rentals in the flesh, rather than trying to secure one while in the UK). If this is of any use to you then you can either send us a Private Message on Expats or take a look at either our website or blog in the signature lines below to find some contact details.

Kind regards,

Eamonn & Janet.

If you are looking for an older model car then Scotland yard motors is very reasonable, they have a web site you should be able to google it.

We have a client that bought from them and found them to be OK too.

Also, we've heard positive comments about this chap...

Of course, for newer models, the car dealerships can be tackled and we can make some offline suggestions there on who to go to and who might be best avoided, bsed on feedback we have had from others.

Kind regards,
