Default Golf in Ontario.... when?!!

Hey guys,

I was just wondering, is there an official date for when most golf clubs in Ontario are likely to open for 2006, or is it just "when the bloody snow goes away for good".

Any info would be appreciated, all the emails I send to the local clubs in Hamilton and the GTA just go unanswered.

Traditionally it seems to be around the time of the Masters. sometimes a week or two before, but seldom afterwards.

If you are really desperate there are some indoor range facililities open year round in TO, or else go south.

My brother lives in Kitchener and would play year round if he could, but plays even if there is a bit of snow on the ground whether the golf course is open or not.

Stiff upper lip now!

Thanks for your help gents!

I just booked a tee time for sunday at Camisle club in Burlington. I don't care if it's minus 15 and gale force winds, I'll get through it!

And if I play crap.... i'll blame the weather, the course, other players, The Corporate Infrastructure of Developing countries, Jet-Lag (even though I have been here 2 months), my clubs, my balls, my glove, my lack of practice, Tiger Woods, that football injury from 1997, my glasses, that squirral that nicked my ball, my girlfriend, the food I ate before I started, Canada in general, that bird that made a noise just as I hit my shot (on all 95 shots), slow play, people in general, that Canadian Tire jingle I can't get out of my head, 2-pin plugs, not having Sky Digital, and anything else I can think of.

It's an Englishman's duty!

I must admit, most people I know are questioning my mental state right now.

Maybe I should take up scrabble.
