Golden Ears Bridge

Holy moley, $4 to cross the new bridge in Pitt Meadows, Vancouver?

That's a bit expensive isn't it. Can anybody tell me if that's each way or does it include a return crossing?

Thats one way I believe. Cheaper if you get a transponder, it is actually worth it even at that price, due to the horrendous round trip at present.

I do not think the OP is telling a complete story. With a transponder leased for $1 per month it's $2.85 per crossing which may well be made up by the savings in time, gas and auto wear.
Humber Bridge GBP 2.70 and Severn Bridge GBP 5.40 ($5.08 and $10.34 respectively).

I can totally understand the value of time saving BUT i'm shocked it's that steep, especially if it's chargeable each way.

Shame they're dumping the Albion Ferry though.

I'm over there in just over a week so it'll be interesting to have a nosey at it. Heck, i'll even get to sample it in the 30 day free period :D

Well it'll actually be $3.85 per crossing using the transponder ;)

Severn Bridge is a rip off too.

I'm just curious as to whether it's each way. Humber Bridge & Severn Bridge are one way payment only.

Also agree on fuel savings but i was expecting it to be a tad cheaper.

If it's a dollar a month to rent the transponder as Auld yin says then it's $3.75 for the first crossing each month and $2.75 each additional crossing.:sneaky:

Humber bridge is £2.70 each way and just about to increase to £2.90
