Getting a place at a Canadian University?
Hi there,
I am still new to the site and trying to read up on all the posts about Canada,
Anyway how difficult is it to get a place at a Canadian university?
I am currently on a working gap year in the UK, I have two A-Levels and 11 GCSE's if that helps.
The degree I would want to do is Computer Network Engineering or similar.
Hope you can help,
Thanks

Here in Halifax we know of 1 person who got accepted at Saint Mary's with just 3 GCSE's and 1 A level.
Our son has just finished doing his international bac exam. 2 people he was at school with failed but have still been accepted at Dalhousie on the strength of their school leaving marks.

Have you looked at fees for international students - they can be steep

Fees wise - how much are you talking about?
I thought it ranges from $5000 - 17000 ?
Is this correct - do you have any UK prices - maybe from someone who's been to uni in Canada
Thanks

Here's an example:

Looks like you'd be paying $20,000+ per year. That ain't cheap.

Apparently so:
http://www.students.ubc.ca/finance/a...=international
but you'll have to be "exceptional".
