Getting a class 4 liscense in BC

Hi

As the title says i'm thinking about getting a class 4 unrestricted driving license in BC as I'm finding it pretty difficult to get a job in my occupation without it.

Has anyone got there's and can tell me a bit more about the actual training process?

I know the steps I need to take having looked on the icbc website but having looked at driver training schools it seems too simple. 4 hours of driver training in a class 4 vehicle then a one hour road test, all for under $500? Obviously this is the min requirement but am I missing something? It seems far too simple especially when I think about the cost and training needed to get a uk minibus licence

On another note can anyone recommend a card garage thats honest in the sea to sky corridor or Vancouver? Im considering getting some kind of pre purchase vehicle inspection done before I buy a second hand car

Many Thanks
