Gap Year/ Year out in Canada

Hi, someone was asking about this a few weeks back, but I cannot find the posting (so sorry about starting a new thread ..)

But here is the info on spending a year working in Canada http://www.bunac.org/uk/workcanada/ on a temporary work permit (it is for causual summer/student type jobs - but they have waived the requirement for the person to be a student!)

I went to a pre-departure orientation yesterday and was told by people from the canadian embassy that international students studying in Manitoba are now allowed to apply for work permit to work (max of 20 hours a week) :) This is a new thing the government has started and they are trying it out on Manitoba first, lucky me...heehee!
