WHICH FOOD TREATS DO U MISS THE MOST
I have settled down well in Canada but i miss the food from back home so much. My favourites in order of preference :
1-FISH/CHIPS WITH MUSHY PEAS-PORCELLIS-GATESHEAD
2-DONNER KEBAB-KINDAS-DURHAM RD,LOW FELL
3-PUKKA CHICKEN/MUSHROOM PIES
4-CHEESE PASTIES- GREGGS
5-WALKERS CHEESE/ONION,SALT/VINEGAR CRISPS

None, we live in Canada, we shop at home - Canada.

Sometimes have a craving for decent curry
I was in Huddersfield recently and went into an indian restaurant, I was served the most dreadful attempt at a curry I have ever come across. I had a gordon ramsey type outburst after spitting out the apology for food I was presented and left!

Fish, chips, pea fritter & curry sauce
Sausages
Back bacon
Cornish pasties
Pickled onions
And of course proper cadburys chocolate
The list used to be longer, but the more time I spend here the less I miss things from the UK.

I don't properly miss anything from home. Potato bread would be nice, but I can have a bash at making it myself. When my birthday comes around I will be hoping for a package of giant Cadbury buttons & some Jamesons raspberry ruffles.

I'm intrigued....what on earth is a pea fritter?!
