You lot must be eating alot of prepared / boxed foods??

I only spend a total of $500 a month at the grocery store and that's for two adults and a baby..

and I consider myself a bit of a cook so every evening meal is restaurant quality food
and I make about 50% of the baby food too….
and I don’t shop cheap either ???

I would expect my weekly shopping bill not to exceed the $150 mark, average $100 as we spend some during the week to get fresh bread, milk, meat etc

Given the nature of my work this does exclude beer….

then again my shopping costs are still the same as in the UK

Dear god, that's worse than ketchup (which is still gross!)!

Yes a projectile vomiting emoticon would be great!

I voted for the $200 + category for a family of four - I spend well over $300 a week for a family of six. Usually nearer $400 if I add in the top up sandwich meats and milk/bread mid week. Somehere in the archives I posted an actual shopping receipt from Save On (middle range grocery store in BC) to give prices, less tax of course where applicable. I am doing a regular shop on Saturday for the six of us - if people want the individual prices of things I can get my eldest to transcribe the receipt as she types way faster than I do. I shop at Safeway these days, slightly more expensive than say Superstore but better quality fruit, veg (no farm stores close) and meat.

It's only temptation if you feel the need to avoid it...
