Flights to the UK in November
I ve searched today for flights from Calgary to Glasgow and it appears that Zoom arilines or Candian affair stop flights in October. I ve seen a quoted rate of c. $700 dollars with air canada. What other options should I consider.
Any advice much appreciated. Thanks Scotty |

Re: Flights to the UK in November
WE had problems with this when flying in late march. I think both these times are shoulder seasons and the cheaper airlines cut right back- but they do tend to offer one flight a week. Email them and ask when they release the dates

You can probably get a return fare on Zoom/Air Transat (Thomas Cook/My Travel stop flying end of October) for between $500-$600 in November, imo probably closer to $500. I think Zoom go twice a week then. There is a 20% discount code somewhere on all flights booked before the end of the year. Do a search.
Saying all of that Zoom last year did a 2 for 1 offer, and we paid just under $900 for 2 returns in November. Unfortunately you still pay the tax. I would keep an eye out on that. For me Air Canada the only thing better is the food - it is eatable. The only reason I prefer the charters is Gatwick is a lot easier to get to where I want to than Heathrow. |

Sorry, the fares I was quoting were from Toronto, should have read the post.

Coach to Manchester? Not a pleasant journey but cheap, and widens your charter flight options considerably. We did that when going to Calgary over winter from Glasgow.

Re: Flights to the UK in November
I was looking around this time myself, the problem seems to be that the thomas cook flights stop for a while. So canadian affair is still an option but only on the air transat flights.
