flights to canada

Hi

Anyone have any suggestions on places to search for flights to Calgary. I have tried Canadian affairs but the website doesn't work properly for me at the minute.

Thanks

Philip

I had just tried it and I think you may be trying .co.uk which is wrong. It is www.canadianaffair.com

You can also try www.zoomairlines.com :)

My friend flew with zoom last year and wasnt very impressed with them. We flew to Toronto with Canadian Affair in June and we were very impressed, good direct flight and cheapest we found at the time. Keep trying their site!

We have always found Zoom to be fine. I am 6'2" and was concerned that such a budget airline on long haul would be a nightmare - but it was more than adequate - I would have no qualms flying with them and I have heard horrendous stories about Canadian Affair - each to their own I guess :)

You might also want to try www.globespan.com they seem cheap but I have to confess that I haven't tried them, only Zoom so far which was cheap and cheerful.

I've been looking for a January flight and have found aircanada to be the cheapest, followed by BA, Zoom and AirTransat.

So why would I take Zoom or AirTransat when I can go with a more established carrier?

we came back yesterday and flew with Thomas cook as they were the cheapest at the time. We were very happy with the flight.

Seeing as how pretty much all the airlines have been covered I would just say that Canadian Affair themselves are pants but the service on the plane is good but having been bitten by them 3 times I have given up on them. Air Transat I wouldn't give them the time of day (prolly just as well cos my watch would be too hard to reach cos I'd be squished in like part of the herd LOL)

We have flown with Air Canada too, they were ok and service/food was good, nothing overly special but then again who is these days? However - they did give me a free twizzle stick with a maple leaf on it so I was happy (soooo easily pleased :D)

I believe British Airways was starting direct flights from London to Calgary this summer. No idea of the price, but they may have larger baggage allowances, etc than Zoom and Canadian Affair.

Hiya Philip,

We flew with Zoom last August to Edmonton, 2 adults, a 7 year old and a 2 year old. The trip was good for us as the staff were very good with the kids. We would definitely fly with them again.

Where do people find these cheap air canada flights. I have always found them to be twice the price of Canadian Affair and zoom. (Toronto to Manchester)

Air Canada do have seat sales but they are very limited. I flew with them once trans atlantic and i will never do this again as I found i was treated better on Zoom flights.

Then again everyone has different experiences really and truly it is not who you fly but the price that you pay and generally i can say that air canada are more expensive and are not worth their weight in gold.

so far I have flown with canadian affairs twice and had grief both times so was hoping to try someone else for a good price and less hassle.

We've used Canadian Affair with no problems, but we will probably be reviewing prices more closely in future if the policy on banning liquids in the cabin continues. In spite of us taking a couple of litres of water on board in the past, we always get a bit dehydrated.

We have flown with Air Transat twice now and would definatley go with them again, the only problem was with the cramped seats. But for the price you pay you cant complain!! just make sure you are really tired before you fly and get some sleep wedged in your chair!!!
i`m flying again with zoom in september and actually got a couple of club seats!! i`ll let you know if its worth spending the extra :D
