Finally our farewells are over!
 

Hi everyone...well the day came, a couple of hours ago said our goodbyes to family (after a lovely pub meal) and got the taxi to Manchester airport. Got an 11am flight to Vancouver tomorrow so relaxing in hotel room was definitely a better option than stressful/upsetting goodbyes at the airport.

A few tears when leaving, but everyone then had things to do and occupy themselves.

We have waited 4 years for this and can't wait to start our new life. Good luck all you travellers out there. My departure list is all checked off and it was worth it.

Tomorrow....Granville Island and some bubble tea! x

Congrats and good luck with tomorrow. We are 2007ers and made the move last Oct.

Thanks. Will have to check that out! We did land last October too, but only stayed 2 weeks as had so much to do back in UK

If you head to the brewery, try the sample platter....I think it was seven different beers (1/3 pint per glass).

I feel dirty saying this but i'm quite enjoying the Whole Foods apple and pork sausages with my mash and gravy these days :thumbup:

Their plain bangers are not too bad either.

Oh it's been pissing it down all day downtown too but this weekend is set to be very nice indeed.

I might even wander to GI myself for a nosey and a cup of posh tea :thumbup:

They'll be flying into glorious weather here so as most Brits have an unhealthy fascination with it, they're going to have a cracking welcome weather-wise.
