It was only once we had moved to Calgary that I realised that snow actually comes in different types - wet snow vs dry snow. The wet snow tends to fall in May and is heavy to remove. The dry stuff for the rest of the year (normally) is quite pleasant. Then there is the 'way' it comes - flurries, drifts and accumulations etc.

Its sunny most days here - quite nice with a covering of snow. We dont get smog - the air quality is very good.

And really, minus 20 is not as cold as you would expect. After all, its a dry cold!
