FBI Clearance from India

I recently received an interview waiver from Buffalo. They are however requesting that I submit the FBI clearance again. I am currently residing in India and would like to know how this can be done from India.

Re: FBI Clearance from India

Did you submit application when you were in US? FBI just checks whether you have any
criminal record with them. If not found they return that the candidate has no record
of criminal activity in the records of FBI. As far as I know it hardly matters where
the candidate is living. As far I know submit $18 to the FBI to issue the letter (or
say to get the stamp on the back of the fingerprinting card). I think you can give
any address but it would faster if you give any US address as FBI does not send
letter back by courier or Express mail. FBI would check the records of the finger
prints with the records in the computer and would send you the result. Contact local
finger printing agency to get the card or send a letter to FBI for sending the
fingerprinting card to you.

The details of getting FBI is given in the application brochure.
