Oh my. Do you work in a venue for live music; somewhere like the Wawa Motor Lodge or the Holiday Inn, Slough?

Re: Famous Canadians

A lot of these folks are famous IN Canada but no one outside Canada's borders has ever heard of them. I grew up in Canada so I've heard of April Wine but I can't imagine any non-Canadian would have. But isn't that true of famous people from any country? How many people outside the UK know who Chantelle is (or at least why she's famous). So are we talking international fame here?

Avril Lavigne
Bryan Adams
Samantha (the platinum blonde from Sex in the City - real name ?)

As a rule of thumb they have to be recognisable everywhere, so Wayne Gretzky, for example, won't count; known in Canada, unheard of here :D

donald sutherland(if this is spelt correctly)

I don't really remember so, I guess, not remarkable. Nice house though, it's surprising what nice houses minor rock musicians can afford. The wife beating guy from the Tea Party just moved up from a very nice one near here.

Terry Gilliam's from Minnesota. Not every cold place is part of Canada.

How could we forget that little fella! That show always used to make me cry, especially the bit at the end where the homeless guy/young boy/smalltown cop goes "Well, I guess you can stay with me from now on... hey, where are you going, buddy? Come back... buddy...?"

*Sob, then cue music*

Speaking of dodgy TV show, Pamela Anderson's new "sitcom" Stacked has started showing in the UK. Plain scary. (I mean I wasn't watching it, it just happened to be on when I walked in the room...)
