You are right - born in the UK, but in the press here she seems to represent herself as Canadian, I wonder why :D

She was born in Liverpool but the family emigrated to BC when she was a baby (18 months old or something like that). So the whole family are still in BC and Canadians now, as far as I know (and how sad that this mindless trivia comes so quickly to me  )

Same could be said for a lot of the "famous" Canadians on the list...they're Canadian, not necessarily "Canadian-born".

To correct you they have only one lyricist, in the form of the best drummer on the planet.............Neil Peart of St Catherines.

I like the sound of this guy! a canadian superhero :D

Captain Canuck

" Captain Canuck. Tom Evans AKA Captain Canuck, a former Mountie, was a costumed superhero who worked as a super agent for the Canadian International Security Organization (CISO), and battled enemies of Canada with his sidekicks Redcoat and Kebec. His adventures took him through the cities and provinces of Canada wearing his trademark Canadian flag costume. Captain Canuck's modest super powers were created when aliens infused him with Z-rays that made him super strong and super fast"
