Listen to the options, I believe it's "press 1 for english", then "press 2 for immigration". I think you then need to press 1 for english again, then it's 0 to speak to an operator, 2 for immigration again...you have to go in a big circle, but if you just follow every instruction related to immigration and speaking to an operator you'll get there eventually.
One tip...DON'T tell them you're calling from outside of Canada! I did both times, the first woman didn't care, the second one got all angry and told me off for ages...loved that on a long-distance call! Best thing is to claim that the application was submitted outside of Canada, but you're on holiday there and wanted to check the status...or something believable along those lines!

We rang the number in Canada to find out what's happening and they told us that it was perfectly normal for it to take this long - it started being processed on nov 28th. So I guess we'll sit tight and wait some more then.
