A BMW X5 Or BMW X3 equiv under 3.0L or small/med SUV.

Last night I saw a television program called "Top Gear". I'm in Canada so it's a bit behind, the show featured the worst cars of 2004. The narrow winner was a Hyundai Diesel. Runner up was the BMW X3. There was a neat film of it failing to tackle a slight gradient upon which some drizzle had drizzled. Not a concern to the owners I suppose, Kings Cross, or in Toronto, Jarvis Street, is quite flat.

Yep you're right there on the X3.

BMW X5 says it all. Find me a competitive Canadian model. Surely there must be ONE!!!

There aren't any Canadian cars. The nearest equivalent American models have been mentioned though I'd also suggest a 50s Caddy convertible with leopard print seats and one of those tinted visor things that sticks out at 45 degrees from the top of the windshield. Also a lowered Honda Civic in metallic paint with flared wheel arches but skinny wheels, better wheels coming after shifting some more crack.

Toyota 4Runner. Real 4WD (transfer case), good ground clearance, reliable.

Yes, I take mine off paved roads, thanks for asking ;)

Back on topic (if indeed that is possible). To the OP, the subject of cars/suv's etc is discussed frequently here. Everyone has their own preference and predjudices. Do your research and come to your own conclusions. A Honda Pilot might be considered as a 7 seat SUV.

EDIT: None of us are promoting 1.0L cars. They don't exist in North America.

Honda Pilot better choice!

I explained I liked BMW's and was open to suggestions should those who don't agree with my taste, and maybe come up with something better.

I don't need people to be ridicule!

What engine size do they generally start from?
