Experts - CAIPS enquiry

Could I ask all you experts out there whether you automatically apply for your clients CAIPS print? In general is it a standard process for applicants representatives be they consultants, laywers or both?

Re: Experts - CAIPS enquiry

Many immigration professionals (both, lawyers and consultants) in Canada use access
to files (particularly to CAIPS notes) as a routine procedure of monitoring their
client's cases, although such are being accessed on individual basis depending from
what is happening (or not happening) with the case.

Re: Experts - CAIPS enquiry

You mean to say that Immigration lawyers/consultants et al have access to the CAIPS
system? Or are they given extracts of it specifically pertaining to the case of
their clients?

Re: Experts - CAIPS enquiry

No, we don't have access to all records. We may only apply for and obtain access to
files of applicants who authorized us to do that.
