Re: Expat Shield for watching iplayer etc
I tried expat shield for a week or 2 but have now reverted back to My private network.
2 reasons: One, the ads were a pain, and two, I couldn't purchase downloads of MP 3's from Amazon UK. When i signed back up to MY VPN, the Amazon site let me purchase the MP3 downloads ( it was a greatest hits xmas album that i only found on Amazon UK).
Just thought I would let you know about my experience.
PS, I did get to watch the I player on bbc and ITV with no problems using expat shield though.......

I use expat shield and its quite good but has drawbacks, the adds and the disabling of other connections.
I turn it off when I'm not accessing iPlayer, no adds and everything reverts OK.
I only use it on the old PC though that's perm attached to our TV.

Its funny, I live in the UK but 90% of the programs I watch are American so when I do make the move not alot to miss I am sure my wife can live without the dribble of Xfactor

I use Foxy Proxy for my US IP address so that I can watch the US Netflix & Hulu.
