e-client

Is it just me or does everyone like to look at e-client in the hope that it has changed when you know full well from posts on here that the first time you see it change will be when you are in Canada?

Its rather like putting your bare bum on a hot radiator - you know the outcome before you do it but still just have to do it - or am I alone on this one :scared:

I was quite excited last week, I was not able to log on to eclient. I had images of lots of little hands updating all of the client profiles. Unfortunately that was not the case when I finally loged on. Have you noticed that the eclient will be off line tomorrow for servicing or something like that. Maybe they will make it more efficient!

Keep dreaming, and checking and checking and ......

You could be right, perhaps it will suddenly be updated and I will know quicker from the site than any other source. you have just given me a reason to get excited before checking it again - my last for 4 weeks before I come back to reality - :D

Just out of interest, how long after you get your AOR can you expect to see your eClient status?

Thanks in advance.

So I am only an average addict - there are more opptimistic people out there than me - WOW.

you are right - I tried saying it and found it works best said out aloud. This is great even an e-client addict support group. Do you know what level of support is available for us when it changes and we can no longer get our daily fix checking it?

Well first here is the ECA support group thread which should answer most of your questions:

http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...&highlight=eca

also CIC does have mercy on us, they keep e-client alive even after you have landed and you can continue on until well after citizenship.

As to what happens to us after that???  .................................................. ............................well, nobody really knows :scared:

And Cov. I knew there must have been some primal motives behind that avatar :D I can still learn from you :D

Wow looks good - but what happened to the group? there is no reference of where they meet and it all died off pretty quick. My only assumptions can be that they were all cured, all zapped by aliens, or more likely the group took away precious time that could be used to have a quick look at e-client. which reminds me it is now the afternoon and someone may have been in and changed something so better go and check e-client again. I trust there is a 24 hour team in canada and that they are not all in bed during our working day.

Spoken like a true........

We are all still alive and kicking .....no alive and checking.

You wil find our meetings and discussions scattered throughout many threads in the canadian immigr. forum, however we have been a bit more quiet lately, too busy checking. :D

My advice is just forget all about eclient. It will only drive you crazy. The PP request will come when the PP request comes, and there is nothing you can do about it once you have mailed the application. Get on with life like you never even applied (yeah, like thats possible!).

When you send off your aplication they send you an Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) which has your file number on it.

With this number you can go to the online services bit of the CIC site and check your application status. It starts saying "in process" within a week or two after you receive your file and continues to say it for...........ever? ;)

Never mind...you are better off not knowing:D Trust me, youd wish youd never heard of it once you start checking it every day for signs of life.

Hi Covenant,
I managed to log on to e-client six weeks after the date on my AOR letter. Incidently I tried to log on Sunday (N American time) and I couldn't get on. The following day I could. This adds to the belief that it is updated on Mondays. BTW I'm supposed to be the only cute baby on this forum!! :D

I agree with Iaink that it is better not to know about e-client as it is only a source of frustration. But once you do know about it your mind starts diong funny things, just look at mhhp. :scared:

mhhp do you have a theory on the affects of e-client on an applicants state of mind?
