DVLA
Hi there,
Just wanted to get some help in dealing with the DVLA in Swansea. Last year I exchanged my UK lisence for a BC one. I gave them a counterpart document that showed that I had no points or endorsements. No problem, and they swapped the licences.
Now I am upgrading to a class 4 and ICBC want another abstract. I've emailed and called the DVLA to ask them to give me a document that shows I've got no points or endorsements. They want a 5 pound fee, but I closed my accounts in the Uk so I can't give them a personal check and Canada Post, for some silly reason, doesn't do postal orders.
So does anyone know if the DVLA will take a bank draft made in pounds sterling from a Canadian bank? Ive tried emailing and calling and just keep getting bounced around. With the time difference I'm having to stay up past midnight which is starting to become very impractical. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated!

Re: DVLA
Why not just get a UK friend to send a 5GBP cheque for you? Its only a fiver afterall? any mum/dad/sibling in the UK that could write a cheque for ya?

Re: DVLA
The cheque idea is good, and you can always payback via pay pal . I had a small fee to pay few month back, i did a thread and a BE chap had the PP idea, so a friend paid for me and I paid him via his pay pal.
Job done.

Wot?
DVLA doesn't take credit cards?
Driving abstracts from Ontario can be done fully online in a matter of a few minutes.
