DVD Multiregion
Hi all,
After some advice, if I were to bring a muliregion DVD recorder to Canada would it work with a Canadian TV or would there be problems with NTSC? I know a transformer would sort would sort the voltage out but not to sure about the signal to the TV. Any advice? Thanks Railman |
Re: DVD Multiregion
Do a search on this site, been asked a few times I'm sure...and it depends on the player, some output dual signals, some don't....can't speak for Canada, but putting it through a vcr shouldn't be a problem or a tv if there like in blighty, but if like the states, might be more hassle than worth.

Re: DVD Multiregion
Hi
richer sounds sell multi region DVD players which run on 110v or 240v. Either your tv needs to have dual NTSC/PAL or your dvd player needs to output either. You can get tvs in Canada (usually sharpe) which will take either NTSC/PAL from places like Sears. Hope this helps Mike |

Thanks Railman You can buy 'reasonable' quality (I have a Malata) multiregion DVD players in Toronto for less than 100CDN. Not exactly a huge outlay. These will play DVD's from anywhere in the world and the output will be on NTSC. Hope this helpsh |
