I remember seeing various posts about DVD players that can play both. I am sure there will be someone here who can tell me what I need to buy and where I could buy it - not too expensively I hope - in Canad.

We were looking on the BBC website and there are all kinds of DVDs that look really interesting - the TV show "Coast" is one of them and I thought if I had a player that could play the different area DVDs then next time I am home I could buy some DVDs there.
Sears advertise one model in their catalogue - check out their range online.

I am going to wait and try a UK DVD in the machine I have. I bookmarked that other site, so if I have problems - someone mentioned only getting the DVD in black and white - if it doesn't work, then I will get a new one.

I would like to buy the whole set of Foyle's War - it seems to be cheaper to buy the UK version.

The picture comes out black and white because the DVD Player doesn't send out a NTSC signal and the TV can not interpret a PAL signal.

If you want the best results, get a multi system TV player as well as a multi region DVD player.
